First you need to complete one of our online application forms. It will arrive to us immediately. We will then send a Character reference, for you to fill in. Please return these along with 2 photographs.

 

We match you with an American Christian family and allow you to talk and write to them, so that you are sure they are the right family for you.

 

The regulations for becoming an au pair in America are far more demanding than being an au pair on the UK. But the rewards are also very great.

 

You must be able to fulfil all of the requirements below. Make sure you are happy with these before you apply.

The US program is completely regulated by the government. This means that all Au Pairs must meet the below requirements.

1. Be between the ages of 18 and 26

2. Have graduated from secondary school

3. Have passed a criminal background check

4. Be proficient in English

5. Have verifiable childcare experience

6. Pass a psychometric/personality test and undergo a personal interview.

7. Be able to pay $500 deposit as a guarantee of their commitment to the program. (This will be returned on completion.)

    8. Registration / interview fee of £50.
